Library Information

Busse Library Hours, Fall Break Week

October 7-8: 8am-10pm

Wednesday, October 9: 8am-4:30pm

October 10-13: CLOSED

Library operations resume on Monday, October 14.  

NOTE: MMU card access applies after 5 pm.

Introduction & Overview

The Five Rs of OER

OER materials are released under an open license, granting permission for everyone to:open educational resources infographic

  • RETAIN -- users have the right to make, archive, and own copies of the content;
  • REUSE -- content can be reused in its unaltered form;
  • REVISE -- content can be adapted, adjusted, modified, and altered;
  • REMIX -- original or revised content can be combined with other content to create something new;
  • REDISTRIBUTE -- copies of the content can be shared with others in its original, revised, or remixed form.

 OER includes digital learning materials such as: homework assignments, assessment tools, ,course    readings, open textbooks. lab activities, full courses, simulations, modules, lectures, quizzes, syllabi, games, and potentially many virtual educational materials.  ("Open Hand" by Viktor in Public Domain)
